  • For any kind of info regarding this anamorphic do not hesitate to ask.

  • What is it? Where can I find out about it online?

  • Thanks for asking! It's a tool that let you achieve a single focus when working with a projector anamorphic lens, I don't know if you ever heard about cinemascope effect, well the anamorphic lens give you that kind of effect. There is a lot to talk about but in overall anamorphic lenses work by containing bent glass which is wider horizontally than it is vertically. This squeezes a wider image into the camera sensor. As a result, whilst recording the footage will look stretched vertically creating a cinematic look. Please if you have more question do not hesitate to ask For more information about anamorphic please follow this link: http://www.eoshd.com/comments/forum/5-anamorphic/ Here you can find an anamorphic guide too if you are still interested. • So this only works with the Schnieder?

  • @comurit, if I already have an anamorphic lens, in my case a kowa bell & howell 2x, can I still use it with this tool, do you know?

  • @ nobbystylus and hilltop1 Hello!!! Like I said in my first post above, the first video test are coming out, since the FM was for sale just by the end of november, at the moment people who received it have tried it with Schneider cinelux and Hypergonar S.T.O.P. Bernoist Berthiot Anamorphic. I'm sure we'll see a more advanced combo system in the coming weeks, they had solutions for quite few projection lenses, (see the list and some more infos in attached file).

If you still have doubts don't be afraid to ask I'll be very happy to help you out.

@hilltop1 if you want be sure that your Kowa & howell fits inside the FM you can directly ask the guys who made it. Just write to sales@anamorphicshop.com

Here it is the quick test with the Hypergonar:

  • Anyone have any new thoughts or videos now that there are a few more out in the wild? Mine just shipped so it'll be a few more weeks, but i'm excited to try it out with the pocket camera.

  • Yeah sure, I have just created a channel on vimeo for the FM videos, and you can discuss FM stuff on the facebook group. Thanks

  • My recent contributions to the testing.

  • Greetings! I've been working with ArtIsWar ^^^ recently on some projects with the FM lens, a7s and Atomos Shogun..we purchased the SEAMLESS focus ring via EBAY for use with our manual follow focus (Gini Focus). What we have not yet been able to try is a wireless ff system - I recently purchased the Lenzhound but I am not sure that will drive the FM lens as it is quite large and has a long throw. Thinking on Bartech, RedRock or RT Motion - we'll mainly be using it for Steadicam and Jib work. Has anyone used a wireless FF with the FM lens with good results?
