Since this patches are all a bit dated, I wanted to know if I they would work well on a 170MBps or faster Sand Disk card, like a SanDisk SDXC 64Gb 170MBps or faster.

Thanks in advance

Have a nice weekend

Panasonic WiGig 1Gbps Wireless SD Memory Card http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2149/panasonic-wigig-1gbps-wireless-sd-memory-card- Mon, 30 Jan 2012 20:15:40 +0000 Vitaliy_Kiselev 2149@/talks/discussions

Panasonic is currently developing applications for the new WiGig gigabit wireless communications technology. In this concept demonstration, a communications module which supports WiGig is embedded on an SD memory card.

Although Panasonic is still in the process of prototyping the WiGig-enabled SD card, the company demonstrated how it will be possible to transmit videos, photos and other local data from a wireless controller such as a tablet, to the displays mounted in the passenger seats of a car. At gigabit speeds, it will be possible to wirelessly transfer a full DVD video in one minute.

The tablet can also connect with the car's computer, so the user can easily see relevant information such as battery capacity and tire pressure.

Panasonic's WiGig implementation uses the 60GHz spectrum to transmit data at gigabit speed, but it is limited to a range of 1-3 meters. Due to this limited range, it will not take over from the current Wifi standard, but Panasonic is coming up with a range of situations where it can be used effectively.

Panasonic GH1 SD Card Door http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/15579/panasonic-gh1-sd-card-door Wed, 24 Aug 2016 08:44:32 +0000 adamxp12 15579@/talks/discussions OK so I have been a reader on this forum for quite a long time, even before I made an account, but this is my first post, I have a GH1 which I still think is an awesome camera for the work I do, I don't see the point in spending lots of money on a newer model if the GH1 does all I want + without the stupid EU 30 minute time limit thanks to the hack, I like to do timelapse's and so the no limit recording time is a feature that only a brand new GH4 can support but £1k is way too much for a 17y/o to spend on a camera

So that's where this comes in, the SD card door on my GH1 recently broke, not sure how but it has, it don't latch properly at the front of the camera making it protrude, I saw a post about this on personal-view where someone fixed it by gluing a needle to it, but with quite vague directions, the only other solution I can think of is either buying a used G1/GH1 just for a door, or to somehow figure out how to fix my door

Does anyone have an idea of how it can be fixed? pictures would really help here as I have no idea what a non broken door looks like, its not one of them things I really paid attention to before it broke

I was searching for a cheap alternative to the SanDisk 45MB/s Extreme Cards for use with Flowmotion v.2.02 on my GH2. I made a list which I will update now and then. I mostly also check for performance using the Fast-action 3GOP on GF1 and the Reliable In-Camera-Playback patch for the GH1. I used the "Death Screens" and also checked for spanning on those cards.

At one point, maybe halfway thru, I got a clip that wouldnt play back to watch in camera. I'm familiar with that type of error and this type of Sandisk card. But later, after taking more shots, I went to review a shot in the camera, and it only showed 7 clips. After the required freakout, I run, grab laptop, pop in SD card and all 28 of my clips are there safe and sound. Has anyone had that happen, and know how to prevent it from happening again. (Don't know if it's related but about 2 weeks ago, our project's cinematographer was doing test shots and she thought she lost a shot or two). Thanks in advance.

Retrieving Data from SD Card with bad sectors http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/8838/retrieving-data-from-sd-card-with-bad-sectors Wed, 20 Nov 2013 19:47:29 +0000 JuMo 8838@/talks/discussions Hey everyone, today I had a monumental technical hiccup. I searched the forums here for similar stories, but mine seems to be a bit unique, so I thought I'd share it.

I spent about 4 hours this morning doing some foley and voice over work on location, I tested the audio after each take and it all played back just fine and sounded great (trusty H4n). When I got back to the editing suite and popped the card in, it took about 30 seconds for the card to pop up, which was my first red flag. Then I opened it up and it looked empty at first, then I literally watched the H4n file structure slowly appear before my eyes one folder at a time, second red flag. I attempted to copy the data over to my worktable drive and it started the visual indicators of a transfer process but never began the actual transfer. A left the work station alone for about 45 minutes and came back to a spinning wheel of death and discovered that finder had crashed without transferring a single bit or byte of the data. I tried to relaunch the crashed finder but it didn't reopen, I was left staring at my desktop backgrounds and nothing more and had to manually reboot the machine. This is where it got really fun. Now the machine would not boot up with the SD card inserted, it would just hang on the boot screen. I tried a few times, then powered down and removed the SD card and the machine started up fine. Then I put the SD card back in and the drive pops up, but as soon as I go to open it, finder crashes again. I can't even get far enough to see inside the folder anymore. Ok, so it's clearly a corrupt SD card and I'm ready to introduce it to it's new home: the garbage can, but first I need to attempt to retrieve any data I can to save me from asking my client to take another 4 hours to re-record all the audio (which, as you all probably know, is never as good the second time around). Not the end of the world if it comes to that, but I'd really rather not have to go that route, if it is at all possible to avoid. I tried the same card in a different card reader on a different work station and got basically the same results - unable to access the drive or data. So I started some research into data recovery software options and decided to give Stellar Pheonix Mac Data Recovery a try. Even the software couldn't see the drive in it's more common data backup and retrieval services, but I discovered could see a 'Generic 16GB SD' drive under the 'Image Creation' option, which it states is for exceptionally problematic corruptions. Basically it aims to create a mountable .DMG image containing every sector on the drive (including ones not in use). So I went for it. The software begins the sector processing on block 0, where it sits for about an hour. I was just about to give up and shut it down when all of a sudden it progresses, identifying block 0 as being fine, but block 1 as a bad block and continuing on, the next 30 blocks (700000 sectors) go by like a breeze, all fine, but then it gets stuck again around block 30. I'm going to leave it over night and sleep with my fingers crossed, but if anyone else has any insight or experience with a similar issue, please share your experience. I will update this thread tomorrow with results of the attempted data recovery, good or bad.

Sd card and hack patch combination? http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/8802/sd-card-and-hack-patch-combination Sun, 17 Nov 2013 15:25:21 +0000 Byhuge 8802@/talks/discussions I am new to the GH2 and the patches. Here is my question... Which combination of SD card and patch work reliably together?

Here is my shooting scenario...

It will be mostly indoors (bar, bedroom), low light. I am using a Rokkor 1.4 50mm lense. We will use Adobe everything, on a Mac, for post.

The other big factor is that it will be screened in a theater. So quality is very important.

Thanks again as this camera is new thing for me and any advice is very welcome.

Bought a 32gb class 10 sd card to accompany it. I uploaded a hack and it works I think. The thing is that pretty often, I am asked to reintall the 1.1 firmware page for the hack? So when I check my photos, it asks. When I turn off my camera and turn it back off, it asks. Is this normal or is something wrong with the internal firmware of the gh2?

Trouble copying SD Card to Computer, but can play the file directly from the SD Card no problem. http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/7474/trouble-copying-sd-card-to-computer-but-can-play-the-file-directly-from-the-sd-card-no-problem. Tue, 09 Jul 2013 16:38:15 +0000 eddietor 7474@/talks/discussions I used GH2 Driftwood hack Cluster X Drewnet 12-15 Classic GOP. I was using a class 10 64 gb card. I only used one file for like 20 minutes. It stopped recording and said I have exceeded the files able to record or something. So in a quick panic I switched to a 32gb sd card that was not class 10. It recorded fine for the few minutes I needed to finish the interview with my subject. But then it said, "cannot write to card due to writing speed of card." (I'm paraphrasing). Anyway the record button kept flashing and no matter what I did it wouldn't stop writing to the card. I waited a few minutes and nothing changed so I pulled the battery out. I went to my PC Windows 7 computer and inserted the card. It plays back just fine but it won't let me pause or rewind. I saw the video it looks great, but my computer will not allow me to copy it to my computer. The error message I get says, "An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to receive this error, use the error code to search for help with this problem" Error Code: 0x80070570: The file directory is corrupted and unreadable" I tried to see if I could put the file in Adobe Premiere CC. The reason is I was going to try to export it as a new video but the import process alone caused the whole computer to freeze. It's a desktop and very fast.

Any ideas of how to get my file off of the sd card? I'm scared to remove the sd card from the reader attached to my computer. (WRITTEN ON TUES. JULY 9, 2013 at 4:37pm Eastern Standard Time, U.S.)

I've shooted recently a 5 minutes Video using "12/15 GOP 'DREWnet' " on my gh2. As soon as I try to copy the file from the SD to my HDD, it freezes at a certain point. I am able to playback the video on the sd card, and I discovered that at the middle of the Video VLC freezes and crashes, therefore one frame must be damaged. I've tried several things (I am on Windows 7):

run chsdsk /r on the sd card (its freezes too), mpeg sptreamclip (can not open it), convert the footage in premiere and After effects, but while converting the programs crash (no respond), I tried to run testdisk (but as I did not delete the file, it didnt recover it), transcoding with 5DtoRGB freezes at the exact spot where VLC crashed, Converting with Adobe media converter also failed, Virtual Dub doesnt open it.

Is there any chance to copy the files at least as chunks? The file is 3,6 GB big

When using my Sandisk 64GB 95Mbps card and Macbook Pro I get error code 36 when trying to copy MTS files to the desktop. It's very temperamental and I haven't been able to fix it. It works fine if I use a USB card reader. The only issue is when I'm using OS X and the in built reader. Ironically the in built reader works fine when I boot into a Windows bootcamp so I believe the problem lies within OS X. Has anyone else got the same combination and have the same issue? I also get this issue with the 8GB version of this card. I've tried formatting both within camera and software.

The only way I'm able to really copy files from my card is to keep taking it out and putting it back in until it eventually copies over completely.
