I can't for the life of me remember the title, and can't seem to dig it up through searches - so hoping someone might be able to help.

It is a slow-paced film, no narration, just simple, clean compositions of russian soldiers in between combat in Afghanistan. 4:3 format as I remember. Not much in music or dialogue either. Very quiet and beautiful film.

Anybody have an idea?

Looking for Russian Lenses that would fully work on Leica M bayonet mount like for Leica M6 http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/13400/looking-for-russian-lenses-that-would-fully-work-on-leica-m-bayonet-mount-like-for-leica-m6 Thu, 16 Jul 2015 09:56:13 +0000 gameb 13400@/talks/discussions Was researching about, which Russian Lenses would work fully on Leica M bayonet mount like for Leica M6. Some of them can be adapted with the M39 screw mount, but then would not focus right. And in the end I did not understand, which ones would really work. Which ones can connect to the Leica Rangefinder focus system. Jupiter 8, 9, 12? Anybody has some suggestions or has got some for sale?

Mir-1 M39 Bussel Edition very blurry wide open http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/11020/mir-1-m39-bussel-edition-very-blurry-wide-open Mon, 11 Aug 2014 05:39:13 +0000 hilburger 11020@/talks/discussions Hi everybody!

I have got a Mir-1 M39 Brussel Edition on my BMPCC using a (Zenit)M39-ring -> M42 -> MFT adapter.

The Mir-1 is blurry like hell using it wide open (see image, sorry for the ugly shot, it's just for deomnstration)

As soon as I close the aperture a huge bit it becomes sharper and usuable.

The later M42 Mir-1B I have got looks great, no blurred areas at all.

Do you think the lens has got some problems or are ALL silver M39s Mirs so bad?

Thank you & best regards, Thomas

Dog Schidt Lenses http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/8375/dog-schidt-lenses Tue, 08 Oct 2013 15:58:59 +0000 shian 8375@/talks/discussions So over at a friend's house borrowing some lenses and he asked me If I had used any dogshit lenses lately. I laughed and said, "I really try not to ever use any", and then he showed me what he was talking about. The name alone made me laugh, but the results are kinda awesome, and I like what these guys are doing. For Cameras with shallow DR, these are amazing lenses.

I just love that their contrast options are "Low, Lower, and Stupidly Low."
