Job: VJs needed for short jobs in Lyon, Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai

I am searching for cameramen/women or video journalists for quick and simple jobs in Lyon, Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur. The jobs are to film short statements by managers of an internationally operating company. The statements shall be about 60 seconds long and will be combined with other statements filmed by myself. The end product will be a short video about the corporate vision and human resources strategy of the company, used for an internal strategy conference. So it is a one-off job. The managers shall be filmed in factories, meaning they shall be placed in front of a production background. This would require a simple lighting set up. An alternative would be a walk and talk shot with a gimbal. Good sound is very important, so good enough wireless microphones are required. The statements should be filmed between April 13th and May 8th.The rough material shall be delivered to me via a download link. I would brief the contributing cameramen/women or VJs prior to their shots. Payment will be negotiated with me. I am looking forward to recommendations!

Jobs with Associates Degree in New York state?

Hey all:

First time posting.

I'll be graduating in May with an Associates Degree in Communications from a community college that only has 2 year degrees. I live in New York state 30 minutes from NYC.

Is it possible to get work in TV Production or digital photography? I've been black-balled in my college because I discovered crony collusion in the school newspaper that went all the way up to the Dean's level, and it just went downhill from there.

I have a 3.98 GPA and one withdraw with passing. I have a good portfolio, but no stable job experience.

I'm not looking to go to a four year school (to get a Bachelors degree) for a number of reasons. Is it possible to get a job in the field? Any advice?

Moving to Australia! Any helpers down there?

Hello my friends,

I have right now the opportunity to work in a company for half a year abroad. Originaly I planed to work in the USA, but as visa is expensive and it takes time, my focus is now Australia. The last month I have sent emails to most of the production companies and received as expectet no response. Right now am considering to just fly over and apply for a job personally. I hope I am not starting to become to motivated and by result to naive, but I am convinced I will find something.

As I have read in another thread (I think it was a meetup thread), there are some Aussies in this forum. Any tips on getting a job? Also how much costs living there in general? Or anyone at all experiences with Australia?

I know the chances are low, but if by coincidence there is now one of you right now looking for me, here a quick summary of my skills.

I am 22 years old, fluent in english, spanish, german and french. Worked now for 2 years as a freelance cameraassistent/sound mixer, and Graphic animateur. Worked also on student films as DOP and First AD. I edit on Premiere and Aftereffects since 6 years.

Even thought you might not be from Australia, I am sure there are people that have might gone through a similair situation. I would appreciate any tricks and I would love to hear your experiences.
