Seriously, this thing is 99% close to the proper color gamut of rec709. (It's seems the white balance is a little cool, but nothing major.)

I know there is an ipad 3 thread, Vitaliy, so feel free to close this if you think it fits there. But I think it's maybe worth talking about and having people share their experiences of using the ipad 3 as a color reference device both on set and during color correction. So what do you think people?

It's true that we can't really use it as a "grading monitor" in the sense of connecting it to Davinci, BUT it provides a way to check any color grading you do on something that is basically as reliable as a broadcast monitor: you'll just have to take the extra steps of exporting a file (like h.264) for viewing on the iPad. Sure it's not perfect, but otherwise you'll have to spend over $2.5K to get a "professional" monitor.

The "measured" is the iPad 3.

GH4 - Peaking focus when using ipad and image app software

Hello, was wondering if anyone else has had an issue where when using the wifi app on an ipad - focus peaking works, but as sonn as the camera is set into record ( video ) the focus peaking disappears on the ipad. I am able to change the manual focus while record but can't see any peaking. The camera lcd does show it. Is this a software glitch or is it something I have set wrong? I just purchased the GH4 and tested it at a family wedding I attended yesterday. My plan was to set-up the shot and connect the ipad and just sit in the audience with my wife. The shot was including the bride and groom and the minister in 4k. As each spoke I wanted to change the focus slightly to bring each into focus as the minister was a few feet further from the camera. In post I could drop the footage into a 1080 project and pan or enter closer shots through cropping etc. Once the ceremony started I quickly reallized that manually focusing from the ipad without peaking was close to impossible. lesson Learned.

I have been researching quite a bit into the program DoulCi which is used to unlock iCloud locked iphones and ipads. Does anybody here have success stories using this program?

I've come across some websites and ebay selling refurbished Iphones and Ipads at quite heavy discount but they are locked down because the previous owner cannot be traced. (Yes realise highly suspicious, and most likely stolen) They claim the units have been recovered from recycle centres and been repaired.

Please HELP: Why can't iPad 4 read this file?

Can anyone tell me why is iTunes telling me this file cannot be read by my iPad 4? I believe if fulfills every single one of Apple's specs (except maybe audio bitrate).
