Helios 44M 58/2 Adaptor

I recently found an old camera bag left on the street to be picked up as rubbish. Inside if found an Helios 44M 58/2 the lens seems to be in perfect condition apart from the aperture blades do not seem to make a perfect circle. Glass is perfect condition, It also came with a couple of interesting filters a Hoya center spot clear filter an a softener B! Wonder what these will look like in video mode. Has anyone ever used these? Anyways i'm looking to get an adapter so i can test it out. Suggestions please? Just another thing whilst browsing for that lens it seems like most of them go to aperture f16 mine is f22 is that something special or rare? A music video that I directed for my band T-Slam.
We're about to play a big concert with the Israeli Symphony Orchestra, so we decided to have fun with the classical theme.
Shot with the GH4, Natural profile, Helios 44-2 with a poor man's Speedbooster and a Lumix 12-35mm/f2.8 lens.

Adapter for ZENITH HELIOS Prime lens

I am thinking of going for a Pentax K mount ZENITH HELIOS 58 mm F 2 Prime Lens. If they do which one would be a better buy out of the two for the lens? Will i be able to change the aperture on the lens if i were to use either of these adapters on my GH2? Also, if anyone has a zenith helios or knows anything more about it, please do share with me in terms of video quality.

I know it says M 4/3 but i have had issues with another vintage i had bought with a M42 adapter so i thought its best i cross check with the knowledgeable enthusiasts out here. :) Cheers!

Hi again people of personal view!

I want to thank everyone who has helped me out with information so far. I plan to donate a small amount to the site soon, having some financial issues currently though.

Anyway, I have a GH2. I also have FLow Motion V2.2 on a 32gb Class 10 Transcend SD card. I also have Kit Lens 14-140 & an M42 -> M43 adapted Helios 44-2 Lens.

I would like to know which settings (iso, etc etc) to use for wildlife photography and video work in my garden in the UK this December.

I have some time off from studies so wish to film a wildlife short based in my garden. If you can help I really appreciate your time!

85mm F1.5 Helios Cyclop Version

I won this lens on ebay thinking it was the 40-2 85mm f/1.5 model. What I got was the lens in the Cyclops configuration which has its aperture fixed at f/1.5. I know I got ripped off (by a US seller who didn't explicitly say it was the 40-2 but didn't exactly make it clear that it was the Cyclops configuration), but the lens is in great shape. Before I return it, I wanted to see what others would do in a similar circumstance. I've been searching far and wide for this lens, and though it's not exactly what I was looking for, should I think for a second about keeping it?
