GH2 froze during long recording. Not sure for how long it remained frozen since the camera was fixed on tripod and I have been messing with sound recorder, all the time checking the red record circle on display, which was frozen, that i haven't figured out immediately. I continued filming after reinserting the battery.

Tomorrow morning, on the card I have 00-03.mts spanned files that are not recognised in Premiere as spans, but all work, and 04 is the beginning of new spanned sequence. I am missing 10 or more minutes of the show (EDIT: between that 03 and 04, to make it clearer).

Does this mean that it crashed on spanning point and that it is pointless to try with recovery software or something..

Fail - battery turning off or freezing http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/10022/fail-battery-turning-off-or-freezing Tue, 01 Apr 2014 19:36:38 +0000 shg 10022@/talks/discussions Hi-

I've hacked my GH2 a few times and like the results. HOWEVER, I keep having a problem. Sometimes the camera will just stop recording (it'll make the BEEP noise like I've actually hit the record button) or the camera will freeze and I have to take the battery out to shut if off (the on/off won't even work). This has happened on a few hacks (most recently Flow Motion v2.02). Any help to prevent this would be GREATLY appreciated.

I searched for fail, freeze and a few other items, so if this has been covered my apologies and please point me in the right direction!

first time hacking GH2 ntsc to use PAL - problems http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/3613/first-time-hacking-gh2-ntsc-to-use-pal-problems Mon, 18 Jun 2012 03:22:06 +0000 tzver 3613@/talks/discussions hi there, first, thank you all, its great to be a part of a growing community. i got my NTSC GH2 and i need to use it in PAL mode. it came with firmware 1.1, i use SanDisk extreme UHS-1 45MB/s x300 cards (32 & 16 GB). i tried to hack it using EOSHD patch 44 Vanilla, and it seemed to work well, i was recording almost 40 minutes but then i went outside (while continuing the shot) and after few seconds i got this message "MOTION RECORDING TERMINATED DUE TO CARD WRITE SPEED LIMITATION" (somthing like that) and the camera freezed. only removing the battery restarted it. i wonder is there a known issue with this card type, or that the patch i used isn't reliable to use on originaly NTSC body in PAL mode? i have to run more tests, i loaded the body now with the original 1.1 firmware and changed only the 30 minutes limitation, the ISO expending option and the PAL/NTSC switching option. any suggestions for a reliable patch that'll work for me with these cards & body?

thanks.

p.s. - hope its not a too stupid question - what does SPANING means? why is it important?

thanks again :)

GH2 hacked - hangs and have to remove battery http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/3265/gh2-hacked-hangs-and-have-to-remove-battery Sat, 19 May 2012 04:22:34 +0000 fatpig 3265@/talks/discussions Hi guys,

A friend of mine and myself are having the same problem. I am using driftwood Mysteron and he is using Cake v 2.1 - and we both get the GH2 hanging up during recording (frame freezes, no buttons react, doesnt shut off, have to remove battery, file is 0 kilobytes). I noticed that Canis Majoris Day was even worse and hung up even more often. Is that problem known?

I have an extrememory sd card 32gb, which never gave me any problems with driftwood up until last month.. he is using some cheap card, but then again, its only cake he's using.

Any help on the matter will be greatly appreciated.
