Hello everyone,

There is a while i didn't came here, and i always loved this place.

Long story short i made a free video converter based on FFmpeg which can converter to professional and standards codecs with hardware acceleration (Nvenc, QSV, AMF...)

Works on Windows, Mac and Linux.

I started this project in 2013 developing with video editor (that i am also) in broadcast companies.

FFMPEG Screen Capturer- Sony Vegas Problems

I'm using a directshow device in FFMPEG to do screen capture of an app emulator. Found here https://github.com/rdp/screen-capture-recorder-to-video-windows-free

It works great and the files play back in VLC no problem, but when I bring them into Sony Vegas they show up as black screens.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is here?

Using ffmbc (FFmpeg for broadcast) for AVCHD rewrapping & conversion

Hi. I am on a mac and I want to rewrap my spaned .MTS files into single .mov files, and sometimes I want to convert my .mts files into DNxHD and Prores. I have different issues with Clipwrap and 5DtoRGB and want to use ffmbc (FFmpeg designed for video broadcast users) but I have to admit I find the installation and use confusing.

Can somebody please post here how to download, configure, compile, and use within the terminal ffmbc to rewrap MTS files and convert to Prores/DNxHD? I am personally interested in Mac OS X but others may need this for windows also.

Can anyone who is smarter than me explain how I can export Apple prores in 4K using this FFmpeg package?

Current FFmpeg 0.10 STABLE is now able to read and write Prores natively, (in current version- not development branch) Since 27th Jan 2012.

Posting this as I was able to find a 'prebuilt' binary for long suffering Mac users, that includes Prores: http://ffmpegmac.net/

I'm sure that there are 'copious' MS / Linux binaries out there...

(normally I roll my own, but I am getting lazy and want results NOW!)

Nice for delivering video in strange formats to clients in one swoop... (also means that you can delegate an extra PC for encoding jobs) if you are into Prores...
