Since Premiere CS6 is not color managed as far as I know, I usually switch to sRGB profile of the monitor to get normal color saturation. It is a simulation of sRGB color space, but it is somehow "mushy". If I leave it at AdobeRGB preset mode that I use for everything else, colors of the video are over saturated, like any other non managed srgb content on a wide gamut monitor.

I need some advice here, can I somehow adapt my workflow to stay in AdobeRGB profile of the Dell monitor, and to have an accurate representation of colors in my editing and grading software (resolve)?

I don't have an external grading monitor, nor I plan to get one anytime soon. I don't need absolute accuracy here, only some decent reference point.

GH4 footage choppy on XPS15 i7 6700HQ http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/16044/gh4-footage-choppy-on-xps15-i7-6700hq Mon, 14 Nov 2016 08:40:06 +0000 Tjibbe 16044@/talks/discussions I just got a brand new Dell XPS15 with 16gb ram, i7 6700HQ and a Geforce 960m. Why the hell does my 4k footage run like garbage even compared to my old Macbook Air?

Is it Windows 10? Because going by bechmarks, my Windows 7 desktop with FX3850 is not much faster en slower on single treaded operations, but playing back GH4 footage is a piece of cake.

Anyone got some insight?

ASUS Zenbook UX303LB-DS74T/UX303LN-R4274H: Anything Better Than This? http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/13025/asus-zenbook-ux303lb-ds74tux303ln-r4274h-anything-better-than-this Thu, 21 May 2015 09:29:52 +0000 BlueBomberTurbo 13025@/talks/discussions Been searching for a more portable laptop to use than my Late 2013 rMBP 15. I don't mind losing a bit of CPU grunt in exchange for reduced size and improved battery life. The biggest hurdle I've found is finding a competitive screen. I had previously narrowed it down to the new Dell XPS 13 and Acer R13, but the Dell has issues with firmware locked adaptive brightness, and the Acer had horrible viewing angles. Beyond those, it seems like the ASUS UX303 line, specifically the LN (now LB in the US) version with the Nvidia GPU, is the best match for me. The ones listed in the title are roughly the same, just different naming for different regions and a different LCD. Here's a good review with specs:

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-Zenbook-UX303LN-Subnotebook-Review.137995.0.html

I really can't find any faults as far as specs, performance, or battery life. Only thing left is to see the screen in person. Is there anything else with similar or better specs at a similar price ($1299 USD w/1800p display + 512GB SSD) that can compare? I'd rather not go back to Apple, as the only reason I bought the rMBP 15 was for the hardware, and I haven't warmed up to OS X or the gimped flavor of Windows run in Parallels and Boot Camp.

Desktop PC http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2147/desktop-pc- Mon, 30 Jan 2012 16:56:40 +0000 Diffusion33 2147@/talks/discussions Hi everyone,

My mac laptop has finally given up and it is time to upgrade. Since i'm doing a lot of music, photography and now video since acquiring a GH2 in january (which is giving me great joy), i'm considering splashing out on a dell XPS 8300 Desktop going all out Max memory, max graphics and a raid hard drive....

Has anyone got any suggestions apart from this beast would be greatly appreciated. Please no mac chat! i have been burnt. I must say their customer service was great but the machine itself was not up to the job and kept breaking down at the most critical of times making me look like an ass loosing me good gigs.

I currently have a decent enough samsung screen but i will be upgrading to a 32inch LED screen in a few months for video work and pleasure.

Thanks
