GH4 Memory Cards. What works and what doesn’t?

I have a GH4 and the following 7 memory cards. Listed in order of their theoretical speed. Some of these cards have failed with the “Motion Recording was cancelled due to the writing speed of the memory card” error message in the GH4 and some have not. If they failed then it was always in the stills mode while recording 1080p @ 60 FPS 200 mb/sec ALL-I video.

These cards all failed at some point

Eye-Fi 8 GB Class 6
Eye-Fi 16 GB Class 10
Transcend 32 GB Class 10
SanDisk 8GB Extreme SDHC 30 MB/sec Class 10
Transcend 64 GB SDXC UHS-I Class 3(Gold Plated Label)

These cards have never failed despite my best efforts to make them fail

Transcend 32 GB SDHC UHS-I Class 1
PNY 64 GB 90 MB/sec UHS-I Class 1

Please post your experiences with different memory cards and the GH4. Please only comment if you have the GH4 and have tried the memory card with it. No comments like “This memory card is better so it must work”. Just actual tests that you have performed yourself.

I recently bought a Panasonic GH4R. I come from using a GH2+ Hack SanityX with memory cards Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC 95MB / s 32 GB and 16 GB. My question is, What about my cards work on the new camera? Any recommendation to buy new? Thanks

Due to upgrade, I'm selling my camera for £1300, it has just 1 year, with only 10,000 captions! It's like new! Please send me your email in private to see pictures of the camera! Also I'm selling 2 fast 32GB memory cards with it, 2 adaptors for Nikon lenses, one just bought and never use it, with this you can attached the cheap and mighty Nikkor F lenses, which add to the image a real cinematic feeling. GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition errors, bugs & micro SD cards.

Hi, recently i bought a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition camera with a SanDisk 32GB microSD card, and besides all the problems with the camera (freezing, not enought bus and stoping the camera, color changes in the same room/light in camraw protune filming mode, buttons doingwhattheywantanytime) suddenly it stops working and a "SD ERROR" appear in the screen so i plug it to my Mac to reformat it (the camera doesn't allow me to do that) and my Mac says it has no format and when i tryed to give a new format in only appears a 32MB (not GB) partition wich i tryed to format and doens't allow me in any case (i tryes it infinietly) so what i'm trying to do before i go to the shop where i bought the card and the camera is to completly erase all information as i use the card first to save passwords and sensitive information but as i can not access the card, how can i do this? any manual method to completly erase the card? (like magnetic o electric charges) i don't want to return the card to the store with this info inside it and i just bought it 2 weeks ago... Any ideas? Thanks.

Sandisk ExtremeUHS-I, 64gb 80 mb/s, any use?

I ordered a 64gb 45 mb/s in the hope of spanning moon T7, it wouldn't on my 32gb. The supplier has sent the SDXC UHS-I 80 mb/s. Does anyone know if this will span, I don't want to open it and find it doesn't and find they won't refund because it's opened. ??? Thank you.

Ever wondered why the SD card of the 5DMKIII is much slower than the CF card speeds even though the SD card is advertised at faster writes than the camera can perform? This article (which may have already been referenced in p-v) is here for those to read.

Cheap 128-256 SD cards?

To carry a few different settings with me, I tried to buy 3 256MB SD cards and was presented with this :)

Isn't there a place that has huge quantities of them and sells for cheap?
