Issue: Noise in the A6500 :(

Yesterday I made cinematography in a short film in which I used this camera accompanied by a Meike 25mm f1.8 and a Rokkor 58mm 1.2 with the profile PP5 and the Gamma S-Log3 I did not touch anything of the rest of the configuration, 1,50 ISO 1,600 only for a shot and in the rest at ISO 800, and 1/50 with a WB at 2600K because the director asked for a cold atmosphere between blue and gray.

I was surprised cause that it produced noise in both circumstances, we had illuminated using two points of light and to try although I did not use other profiles, I changed momentarily only for to see the scene behavior of the noise and in the other modes there was noise. I get a lot of attention because this camera handles sensitivity well and I made a short time inside a bus with very low light, in fact we only used a light that came from the roof of the same bus and a small LED that I used for filling using more quirky ISO's around 4,000 and the noise was minimal.

Is there any reason for it? I let a clip of the short with a gradding.

“Anyone can photograph nature”, a fashion photographer once said. “You just have to wait for the right light!” I disagree. In my opinion, there's more to that than meets the eye. This is the story of Latvian outdoor lifestyle photographer Filips Baumanis.

This is me attempting story-driven filmmaking for the first time, as previously I've mostly done landscape and travel content (a seen on www.eaglewoodfilms.com). Shot on the trusty Sony A6500 and Phantom 4 Pro for aerials. Did all the shooting, editing, grading and sound design myself.

Clear Image Zoom - Horrible quality

Hi all

was testing out the clear image zoom on the a6500 to reduce RS for some handheld but felt the quality was off.

So I did a comparison, static wide with the Sigma 30mm f1,4 and the Sony 16mm f2.8 with 2x CIZ. Both at f5,6, shot in 4k.

And the later was indeed awful, see attached snaps (SOOC). Top is 16mm+CIZ, second is 30mm.

This is not even close to the good results I've seen of others' tests online. Any setting I need to change?

GH5 or A6500

If you had to buy just one camera for photo and video (short films), what would you choose?. Although starting the A6500 is better for still photo than the GH5.

Adapting very old sigma canon lens to Sony a6500?

I recently snatched the Sigma High Speed Wide ASPHERICAL 28mm 1.8 for a very good price. It is made for old canon cameras from the analog age. Tried adapting it to my a6500 with the viltrox adapter. No electronic connection. Will now try a non-focal-reducing adapter by commlite. Are there any other speedbooster options out there except for metabones? maybe one with a built in aperture?
