This looks like an interesting option -- a dedicated high speed camera. Global shutter, and 720p at 701 fps. Nikon F mount, and SD storage. CMOS sensor and web-based control. Sensor reads out at 1 GByte/second, and the 8 GB ring buffer means it records only maximum 8 second bursts. Kickstarter price is around $4,900.
