Shutter goes into countdown mode

When I take a still from my legacy lens,(Halios m77 and others) the shutter begins to count down. If I am on shutter speed 20 it will get to counting down the numbers like 19 18 17 16..... till it reaches 0 and then the snap is taken. After that the saving process begins with the time glass symbol flip flop with the numbers going down again from 19 18 17 16... etc. what could be the problem.I am shooting without lens mode.
