Similar to previous and a bit pricey, but comes with rod clamp.
Price: $56, free shipping
Even cheaper: http://www.adorama.com/FPMCS.html
The Adorama package has 5/8" brass theads, a 5/8" to 1/4" reducer bushing, a 1/4" hot shoe adapter, and two extra elastic bands.
I don't get point of your post, as first entry it EXACTLY same mount, with same price.
It is not exactly the same, and the price is lower. Look at the pictures.
In fact, it is exactly tha same. Thanks for adorama link.
5/8" to 1/4" reducer bushings are almost impossible to find elsewhere.
It is wrong. You can even ask same Chinese seller, as I remember it'll be very small extra to include one.
I have been using one like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Shotgun-Mic-Suspension-Shock-Mount-Pencil-Clamp-Condenser-Holder-Thin-Clip-0019-/290695305551 and it pretty much sucks with NTG-3. The rubber bands just doesn't do the job and them are too loose. Haven't found perfect replacements from local stores..
Any recommendations for good shock mount that really works?
Any recommendations for a long shotgun mount? I've got one of those gigantic long shotguns (20 inches) and my shock mount cannot handle it. I usually have a sound guy with kit, but I could use a better mount for when I one man band it.
No ideas for good and affortable shock mount that can handle the weight of Rode NTG-3 ?
Tonalt, I mostly used the Rode shock mount with my NTG3 and it has never given me any troubles. I'd say its worth the extra pennies. I often use Rycote InVision 7 shock mount with my microphones as well at this has also served me very well. Both are highly recommended. I mostly use the Rycote with my Oktava mics that are very sensitive to handling noise, and I've never had any troubles with them.
