Backporting firmware GF series

    As the title suggests I'm curious if it is possible to backport the firmware from the latest Gf camera ( Gf5 ) to the previous models. As hardware differences go there haven't been that many change. The sensor stayed the same since Gf1. And I believe the image processor has been the same since Gf2. How do the Panasonic firmwares work ? Is there a kernel/driver layer on top of witch we have the user space ? And if so is it possible to bring the functions of the latest firmware to all the previous Gf series cameras ?

    No, of course it is not possible to port anything. Just forget about any of such ideas.
