I am sorry if this is reposting a question that has been answered but could not find the topic thread. There are times when I need to shoot outside in bright conditions and must use the LCD flip out screen. Some days it's impossible to see much of anything on the LCD, much less focus. Seems like a hazy sky day is the worst. Has any one found a hood that works, or used something like the "VARAVON LOUPE EX-SUPPORTER" for GH1/GH2?" I prefer a simple solution to getting rails, an external monitor, etc. as I usually shoot low-key run and gun style. Thanks for any help.
@JeffGibbTC - I got one of these and they are great really blow up the picture or LCD screen.
@JeffGibbsTC I'm happy with this hood at http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/comment/12448#Comment_12448
Thanks Chrimsbroome and Roberto both look like good options. Just as I was saying to myself Sedna is so good I can make the GH2 my main camera I ran into the brick wall of not being able to see the screen in certain birght conditions! Hopefully the GH3 will have a brighter screen.
I just built my own out of cardboard and tape. It sticks out four inches and so I cut out the bottom big enough for my thumb to use the touch screen. It works great but I used too much tape and so it's heavy enough to sag the screen when horizontal.
I just got this a few days ago from Ebay, $26.90 shipped...took about ten days to come from China...I read a lot of people complaining on Amazon about this, saying that its a knockoff from the $160 version and it doesn't stick right blah blah blah...for $26.90 I'll take the knockoff..it works great! and if its falling off then people didn't take the time to read the application instructions properly. I love it!
