I flew with my son to London to watch the great Post-Rock band Explosions in the Sky play at the Brixton Academy.
This short film is about the journey to Brixton and the lovely people who came to the show.
Shot with a Panasonic GH2@60P, 44Mb hack, 20mm/1.7 & 7-14mm lenses.
Edited with FCPX 10.0.3
Music: Your Hand in Mine by Explosions in the Sky
Excellent. Sharper than a sharp thing...720P is better than 1080P on most! Loved the stage reveal and the final cut away. Lovely stuff and great music to boot.
Thank you iTim!
Awesomeness. So you've been shooting in 720 for better slomo and later converted to 24p? As simple as it is?
@izash Very cool man! I love the shot going up the escalator 00:39
@GOODEMPIRE The slomo workflow was simple: 1. Shoot 720/60p. Some shots in 1/125 shutter, fast motion in 1/250 2. Create a 24p timeline in FCPX 3. Conform the speed from 60fps to 24fps. Some shots were slowed down even further.
@x_worpig_x Thanks!
