Here is a company that has it's R&D dept. clicking on all cylinders! This company hasn't gotten fat and lazy. They've been aggressive in innovating what most have only put token effort into improving. There hasn't been much innovation of any kind in the Mic market and Rode has decided to basically lead the market and create new products to address needs of an ever growing video market.

The Stereo mic will be a welcome replacement for my larger Audio Technica AT 822. I use it to record live Musical events.

Hm, it's nice, but too huge IMHO... I had a Rode SVM for a while on DSLR, but found it too big...

Very cool mic..I noticed it said built on Rode NTG-3 technology. I've been using the Rode NTG-3 with my GH2 (with Juicedlink cx 231) and the sound is awesome.
