Do you remember how the PlayStation 2 booted the success of DVD drives? How the PlayStation 3 became the first affordable BluRay drive, helping the BluRay to win the battle over the "HD-DVD"?
Now, Sony's new PlayStation 4 Pro comes (in November) with significantly improved, 4k/HDR capable hardware - but only an ordinary BluRay drive, so it cannot replay UHD BluRays. Epic Fail.
That's even more bewildering as competitor MicroSoft built an UHD BluRay drive even in its much lower powered XBox S.
