Quantum Film - new sensor technology

From DPreview I found this video explaining the new Quantum Film technology. In essence the traditional silicon layer is replaced by a thinner new material layer, that allows for a bigger dynamic range and global shutter.
Will this scale to larger sensor sizes? Will it allow a higher Iso?
I'm looking forward to seeing some ungraded shots.
