Accsoon CineView HE Released – Affordable Dual Band HDMI Wireless Video Transmission System http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/27197/accsoon-cineview-he-released-affordable-dual-band-hdmi-wireless-video-transmission-system Wed, 06 Jul 2022 02:37:09 +0000 jasonyxm 27197@/talks/discussions image

Accsoon has just unveiled their new entry-level wireless video transmission system, the CineView HE. At first glance, similar to the CineView Quad, this new HDMI-only model offers a longer operating distance (1,200ft/300m), Dual Band technology, low latency (< 60ms), UVC output for direct streaming, and support for the Accsoon Go app. It will be available in May for $499.

A few days ago, Chinese manufacturer Accsoon released the CineView Quad, an SDI/HDMI wireless video transmission system with an operating range of up to 500ft/150m that comes with interesting smart features and an extremely competitive price ($529.00).

Now the company is releasing a new entry-level product, the Accsoon CineView HE, that is in the same price range. It looks like a perfect option for those filmmakers wanting to approach the wireless video world. Let’s take a closer look to see how it differs from its CineView Quad sibling.

image Image credit: Accsoon

Accsoon CineView HE: overview

First off, the new Accsoon CineView HE is an HDMI-only wireless video system consisting of a transmitter (TX) and a receiver (RX). The two units support up to 1080p60 inputs/outputs, pair automatically, and communicate via an anti-interference wireless technology over 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies.

This Dual Band system makes it possible for the TX to transfer the same image over the two frequency bands simultaneously. The RX then combines the two signals into a single one to achieve optimal, stable results.

image Image credit: Accsoon

Besides the lack of SDI connections, another difference with the CineView Quad is the maximum operating distance. Indeed, the new CineView HE ensures stable signal transmission over a much longer range: 1,200ft/300m (Line Of Sight). Moreover, Accsoon claims a very low latency value for this system (lower than 60ms).

TX and RX design

The Accsoon CineView HE TX and RX share an almost identical fanless design. A 1.3-inch OLED display on both units shows an overview of the main settings, which can be accessed using the simple button layout at the front. Four removable antennas sit on top of the alloy, while a control knob on the side allows for channel selection.

image Image credit: Accsoon

While the TX features one HDMI IN and an HDMI Loop-Out port, a UVC (USB-C) output port on the receiver replaces the HDMI input. This allows connecting the RX to a computer for direct HD-live streaming to the most popular platforms.

image Image credit: Accsoon

The solid aerospace-grade aluminum construction keeps the weight of the units down to a minimum. In fact, both the TX and RX only weigh 225g (with antennas) which makes them fairly easy to rig.

Power

When it comes to powering the system, the Accsoon CineView HE offers multiple options that can even work simultaneously to prevent power loss. You can choose between an NP-F style battery plate on the back of each unit, a DC input port (7.4V-16.8V) as well as a USB-C power source (minimum 5V/2A). According to Accsoon, the system can run for up to 12 hours non-stop on a single NP-F970 cell.

image Image credit: Accsoon

Smart features

Like its SDI/HDMI sibling, the CineView HE comes packed with some interesting smart features. These include the ability to connect and instantly share previews with up to four iOS/Android devices using the free Accsoon Go app.

The app allows decent control over the image, as it supports a series of monitoring tools, including histogram, waveform, focus assist, zebra, false color, and more. From the app, users can also apply 3D LUTs to the original Log footage to instantly create pleasing-to-see previews for their director or client.

Price and availability

The new Accsoon CineView HE will be available from May 2022. The official retail price of this system is $499. For reference, the SDI/HMDI CineView Quad is currently priced at $529.

Canon DP-V1830 18.4-inch 4K/HDR Professional Reference Display http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/26493/canon-dp-v1830-18.4-inch-4khdr-professional-reference-display Mon, 06 Dec 2021 05:16:34 +0000 Vitaliy_Kiselev 26493@/talks/discussions image

Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, today announced the launch of the DP-V1830, an 18.4-inch professional 4K reference display that features improved core components such as a high-quality display engine, a revamped set of high-resolution algorithms, new panels and a new backlighting system — all of which deliver an increase in image quality over previous Canon displays. Adhering to HDR standards1, the display features a compact and lightweight 18.4-inch panel that can be ideal for use in tight working spaces, including outside broadcast (ob) vans, sub-control rooms, and on-set production tents. The new reference display is poised to be a versatile tool for demanding industry professionals and can help support efficient workflows in a wide variety of working environments.

The display achieves a peak luminance of 1,000 cd/m2 for white luminance, which meets the parameters defined in ITU-R BT.2100 for HDR, as well as featuring an improved imaging engine. Compared to previous models, the display offers enhanced control over backlight illumination to better delineate dark and light portions of high contrast. With the help of these improvements, it is possible to accurately represent stronger and darker blacks, isolated black portions, and brilliant bright colors, even in challenging scenes.

Canon developed a unique LED backlighting system that produces a wide color gamut and supports the ITU-R BT.20202 standard. Additionally, Canon’s proprietary optical configuration helps mitigate luminance and color variations, providing an angle of view for the display that is wide enough to deliver accurate images when several people are viewing the monitor at the same time.

The DP-V1830 has a shallow form factor and weighs approximately 16.5 lbs. The display can be installed on 19-inch racks compatible with EIA standards3. This allows professionals the ability to use the display in existing broadcast and video production workplaces, as well as easy transportation to on-location worksites and production tents.

Summer 2022 Enhancements

The Canon DP-V1830 reference display is scheduled to receive a product enhancement in the summer of 2022 via a free firmware update that will include: 2-screen / 4-screen individual image quality setting of input video signal

  1. Chromaticity diagram (distribution display of all pixels)
  2. Waveform monitor RGB Parade
  3. SD-SDI support

The Canon DP-V1830 18.4-inch 4K/HDR Professional Reference Display is currently scheduled to be available in January 2022 for an estimated retail price of $14,299.00*.

Xiaomi Mi Desktop Monitor 27" user review http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/26446/xiaomi-mi-desktop-monitor-27-user-review Fri, 26 Nov 2021 10:22:49 +0000 Eno 26446@/talks/discussions In my country: Xiaomi BHR4975EU, 27", Full HD, IPS, 75Hz, 100% sRGB, HDMI, VGA

An exceptional price/quality ratio PC screen!

4 important specifications cached my attention:

  • IPS screen with wide viewing angle
  • 100% sRGB color gamut spectrum coverage
  • Flicker free
  • Blue light filter

Out of the box the screen came well calibrated, with a small Delta-E variation of color. After a manual calibration, it approaches perfection (except for the typical brighter black of IPS screens).

The "Flicker Free" and "Blue Light Filter" functions are very important for the eyes, especially for long working periods of time in front of the computer. I did not encounter problems related to ghosting or clouding, the image uniformity of my sample being impeccable. It doesn’t make much sense to comment much about IPS technology, whoever is interested in image editing, knows why to choose an IPS screen in favor of other technologies on the market.

The screen is elegant, with thin edges on the side and top and the construction is made of good quality plastic. The foot is made of metal and offers an inclination from -5 to 20 degrees.

In conclusion, for my needs (image editing) it’s an excellent screen at a very decent price. I recommend it with confidence!

Big TCL plans - 98% of Rec. 2020 coverage in 2024 http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/24637/big-tcl-plans-98-of-rec.-2020-coverage-in-2024 Wed, 21 Oct 2020 12:34:40 +0000 Vitaliy_Kiselev 24637@/talks/discussions image

By 2024, TCL is expected to change technology and opt for an RGB backlighting system consisting of 7680 zones and capable of reaching 4000 cd / m². This system is expected to achieve an unprecedented 98% coverage of the Rec. 2020 color space. This should result in the display of particularly saturated colors, especially green and red.

TCL is also working on QD-Oled hybrid technology with Samsung. Remember that QD-Oled technology uses blue organic diodes (Oled) to excite quantum dots, and thus obtain more saturated colors. In theory, QD-Oled TVs would benefit from the advantages of Oled technology with individual pixel control, and therefore infinite contrast while increasing maximum brightness and color space coverage thanks to quantum dots.

ACCSOON CineEye 2 Pro http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/24388/accsoon-cineeye-2-pro Sat, 05 Sep 2020 04:02:06 +0000 Vitaliy_Kiselev 24388@/talks/discussions image

CineEye 2 Pro is Accsoon’s new professional wireless transmission system. With innovative 2.4GHz+5.8GHz Dual-Band Transmission technology, it can intelligently identify interference during transmission, then combine the data from these two streams to form the complete audio and video signal, greatly improving its stability and anti-interference capability. CineEye 2 Pro is far more stable than traditional Wi-Fi video transmitters that only stream in 5.8GHz, and once on set, it will provide you with a stable and glitch-free stream.

CineEye 2 Pro further optimized the transmission process, this time taking advantage of both H.265’s high efficiency and higher bitrate. Hisense ULED XD is real TVs revolution http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/21296/hisense-uled-xd-is-real-tvs-revolution Thu, 10 Jan 2019 22:45:06 +0000 Vitaliy_Kiselev 21296@/talks/discussions Hisense uses Dual-cell ULED XD panel layer that puts a 1080p module displaying a grayscale image between a full array LED backlight and a 4K module. Panel has 2,900 nits peak brightness.

Also they have 512 direct led backlight zones.

Prototype used 65-inch VA panel. With peak brightness as we told above at 2900 cd/m² and a black at 0.0018 cd/m² we have real contrast ratio greater than 200 000:1. In EU and US most probably it'll be only in 2020.

Actually this guys matched top reference monitors approach - check our interview about such http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/20797/nab-ny-2018-flanders-scientific-xm311k-hdr-reference-monitor#Item_1

Such layer has 3000:1 to 5000:1 contrast, so combined it is staggering numbers, as in real room black level will reach OLED, and not in the large zones as usual, with brightness reading top Samsung sets.

recommendations for a HD field recorder monitor http://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/24152/recommendations-for-a-hd-field-recorder-monitor Mon, 27 Jul 2020 13:14:47 +0000 thiswayup 24152@/talks/discussions I'm filming some gigs in 1080 @25fps (I don't need 4k at this stage ) and looking to get a cheap field recorder and monitor. I don't need anything too fancy and recording to H264 is just fine. Probably second hand.

Recommendation? My budget is about £200/$250
